The Fast and the Furious franchise director, Justin Lin has taken the Star Trek reigns from J.J. Abrams to continue the Enterprise’s legacy in Star Trek Beyond. Due out next summer, Star Trek Beyond will be released in celebration of the franchise’s 50th anniversary. The film will feature all of the usual suspects with the addition of Idris Elba as an alien adversary. Star Trek Beyond will hit theaters July 22, 2016.
