If you’re an afternoon tea kinda person, then you will love to hear about this exclusive experience at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Notch8 Restaurant.
‘Afternoon Tea in the Window‘ is a unique dining experience on the hotel’s street-level window display. The limited-time tea service seats just two guests at exactly 2 pm and will be available Monday through Friday all summer.
The intimate tea service has guests surrounded by custom art created by Mandy Lau, a Vancouver-based fashion illustrator. Her idea was to create an installation where tea goers become part of the art, while people on the street pass by enjoying the work on their commute. Lau used graphite, ink, and digital mediums to create the window scene, with a focus on the tea table itself and the diners at the center.
If you’re interested in experiencing ‘Afternoon Tea in the Window’ it will cost you $69 per person and can be reserved online here starting today. Since 2019 and 2020 were such a major hit, I would recommend reserving your afternoon tea soon before availability runs out.
