PATRÓN Tequila is officially stepping onto music’s biggest stage. The super-premium tequila brand has been named the Official Tequila Partner of the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, marking a first-ever partnership that ties craftsmanship in spirits to excellence in music.
The partnership launches during GRAMMY Week and reflects a shared focus on craft, artistry, and cultural influence. PATRÓN will be present throughout the week with curated experiences and VIP moments leading up to Music’s Biggest Night.
Central to the collaboration is the debut of The Golden Record (recipe below), the official cocktail of the 2026 GRAMMY Awards. Created with award-winning mixologist Daniel Gonzalez of Licorería Limantour in Mexico City, the cocktail features PATRÓN EL ALTO, a rare blend of Extra Añejo, Añejo, and Reposado tequilas handcrafted in Jalisco, Mexico.
PATRÓN’s ties to music run deep. For more than 30 years, the brand has appeared in hundreds of songs across genres and has long supported artists, particularly in hip-hop and Latin music. That history makes this partnership feel like a natural progression rather than a simple sponsorship.
During GRAMMY Week, PATRÓN will appear at major events including Grammy House, MusiCares Person of the Year, and Recording Academy Honors. On awards night, winners will toast backstage with PATRÓN EL ALTO, with additional behind-the-scenes content planned after the show.
As audiences tune in worldwide, PATRÓN invites fans to celebrate from home by raising a glass to the artists who continue to shape culture and push music forward.
The Official GRAMMYs Cocktail: The Golden Record
This is the headline drink. It was created specifically for the partnership and is built around PATRÓN EL ALTO.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz PATRÓN EL ALTO Tequila
- 1 oz Prosecco
- 0.5 oz Fino Sherry (Tio Pepe)
- 2 oz Pear cordial
- Dash of bergamot bitters (Scrappy Bitters)
- Garnish: 3 slices of red grapes
Why it works
This cocktail leans elegant and layered rather than loud. Pear cordial adds softness, sherry brings dryness and depth, and Prosecco lifts the drink without overpowering the tequila. It’s clearly designed as a sipping cocktail, not a party pour.
