The Lamborghini Urus has never exactly suffered from a lack of horsepower, but that’s never stopped the Italian automaker from pushing things even further. Meet the new Lamborghini Urus SE Performante, the most powerful production SUV the brand has ever built.

At the heart of the new Performante is a plug-in hybrid powertrain pairing Lamborghini’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with an electric motor. Together, they produce a staggering 812 horsepower, enough to launch the SUV from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds.

More Power Without Losing Its Edge

While the hybrid system adds weight, Lamborghini offset much of it with extensive carbon fiber bodywork and a titanium Akrapovič exhaust. The result is roughly 70 pounds less than the standard Urus SE, helping preserve the razor-sharp handling buyers expect.

The exterior has also been revised with larger front air intakes, functional vents, a redesigned rear diffuser, and styling inspired by the iconic Countach. Beyond looking more aggressive, the updates improve cooling and aerodynamic efficiency.

Suspension and Performance Upgrades

The Urus SE Performante receives a new dual-chamber air suspension designed to reduce body roll while maintaining comfort during everyday driving. Lamborghini also recalibrated the steering and braking systems while adding an updated Rally driving mode for loose surfaces.

An advanced 6D sensor system continuously monitors the vehicle’s movement, allowing the SUV to adjust its dynamics in real time for maximum grip and stability.

A Cabin Built for Drivers

Inside, the cabin features generous amounts of carbon fiber and Alcantara alongside new Performante-specific trim. Buyers can further personalize the interior through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, offering nearly limitless customization options.

Technology also carries over from the Urus SE, including updated infotainment, digital displays, and the latest driver-focused controls.

Final Thoughts

The new Lamborghini Urus SE Performante shows that electrification doesn’t have to dilute performance. Instead, Lamborghini has used hybrid technology to create an even more capable super SUV, combining brutal acceleration, improved handling, and unmistakable Italian styling into one incredibly desirable package.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but expect the Urus SE Performante to sit at the top of Lamborghini’s SUV lineup when deliveries begin.
