A recent survey unveiled a staggering statistic about men’s health: 91% of men said maintaining their health is important to them, yet more than half (57%) said they would only go to the doctor when there was an actual problem. Sadly, I can relate to the latter group, and I’m not proud of it.
In recognition of Men’s Health Month, and to hopefully better these statistics, Sam’s Club is hosting free men’s health screenings for members and non-members on Saturday, June 11 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Screenings will be held at all Sam’ Club locations with a pharmacy.
The following tests will be offered as part of the screening:
- Glucose
- Total cholesterol
- HDL (good cholesterol)
- Blood pressure
- Body fat percentage
This is a fantastic initiative by Sam’s Club and I commend them for their part in Men’s Health Month. I encourage you to head on down to your local Sam’s Club and bring the important men in your life along to get tested. At the very least share this post with your social media followers and let them know the good news.
Visit the Sam’s Club Store Locator and find a pharmacy nearest you.
