When you first see The Chart of Controllers by Pop Chart Lab your initial thought is about how awesome it is, but then you look a little bit closer. Upon proper inspection, you realize it’s much more than a fun, nostalgic bit of geeky wall art. In actuality it’s pretty educational—at least in a curiosity-provoking kind of way.
On the chart you can find 200 different kinds of controllers, starting from those produced as long ago as 1958’s Tennis for Two, all the way through to the present. In addition to going back perhaps a bit further than you might have thought, you can also find plenty of examples of gaming systems you either never knew existed or had completely forgotten about (Apple & Bandai’s Pippin was a big one for me).
Pricing for The Chart of Controllers starts at $37.
