These Star Charts from the collective Dorothy are whimsical, full of history, and all together just a pretty cool piece of wall art. There are two options for the charts, both of which are based on the same idea.
A star chart of one particular date and location is mapped out in film constellations composed of the leading starts of that film. The first option, Golden Age, is based on the night sky of Los Angeles, and covers from October 6, 1927—the date The Jazz Singer was released—to the 60s. The second option, Modern Day, is based on the night sky over New York and covers from the date Psycho was first shown, from June 16, 1960 until now.
