Filipe Carvalho, a Portuguese copywriter and art director, took his love of Star Wars and illustrated a series of simple, yet recognizable Star Wars icons. He claims to not be a “professional” art director, but from the looks of how he used basic shapes and shadow play, I think he has a new career on his hands.
“Flat Design, with it’s simple visual approach, enabled the non-professional-art-director-me to produce some illustration work, so, this was my chance to give something back to the saga. I looked up online and apparently there isn’t any set of flat design/long shadow design Star Wars Icons.”
