Acura has finally unveiled what is arguably the most anticipated announcement to come from this year’s Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS). For its 25th anniversary, the cherished NSX sees the light of day after being absent since 2005.
The 2016 edition of the mid-engine sports car boasts a new mounted twin-turbocharged 75-degree DOHC V6 engine with a 9-speed dual clutch transmission, packed together in a Sport Hybrid system — powered by a trio of electric motors — integrated with an ultra-rigid and lightweight multi-material body, zero-delay acceleration, and an “Interwoven Dynamic” exterior.
More performance specs to come soon. Look for Acura to begin accepting orders for the new 2016 NSX at the low price of $150,000 USD this summer with deliveries expected later this year.
