Each year, luxury auto addicts rush to Monterey from August 16 to 21st 2016 to see and often buy at the Concours d’Elegance, one of the great auto exhibitions and auctions in the world. Car lovers, and passion investors know which major new car models are being unveiled: this year, three luxury automakers, all beginning with M, will have new models unveiled:
McLaren 570GT MSO Concept
McLaren is known as an automaker who has created some of the fastest in the world. They just unveiled the 570GT MSO concept car. It is, according to McLaren, a model of major luxury, yet also, one that can be driven every day, especially if you want to move quickly through the streets. The 3.8-liter twin turbo V-8 engine powers it from zero to 60 m.p.h. in 3.4 seconds (and zero to 124 m.p.h. in 9.8 seconds), with a top speed of 204 m.p.h.
Maserati Levante SUV
Maserati, known for its dazzlingly fast Aventadors and others, is releasing its new Levante, its first SUV. It was confirmed at the Concours d’ Elegance that the new model will be released for sale very soon. The Levante has three trim levels and a beginning MSRP around the $76,000 mark.
2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF
Mazda, is set to unveil its 2017 MX-5 Miata RF. This Roadster is a retractable fastback convertible (hence “RF”) and has been added to the MX-5 line. The new fastback version was officially announced during a special event at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. Mazda is using this event to announce the new MX-5 RF Launch Edition. Limited to a run of 1,000 for enthusiasts wishing to buy the new model, the Launch Edition will feature “Machine Gray” metallic paint, auburn Nappa leather interior trim and a hand-painted black roof panel. Buyers will be able to choose between a six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The standard 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF will arrive in showrooms later this year.
