Mercedes-Benz came out strong at this year’s New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) by premiering three, never-before-seen models: Mercedes-AMG E43, Mercedes-AMG C-Class, and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe featured above.
Mercedes gave their popular SUV a coupe makeover by making it 3.2-inches longer and 1.6-inches wider than the GLC SUV, putting it in a class of its own.
“It is both hot and cool,” said Gorden Wagener, head of design at Daimler, the parent of Mercedes-Benz. “With its design idiom of sensual purity, it perfectly embodies our styling philosophy while at the same time representing contemporary luxury.”
Part SUV, part car, the GLC Coupe is bringing its consumers the same safety and modern assistance systems they expect from Mercedes-Benz. Its standard sports suspension and direct sports steering, along with Dynamic Select and 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive makes for an extremely smooth ride, while having a sportiness to it.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupe goes from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, with a 3.0-liter V6 Biturbo engine putting out 362 hp. Along with its high levels of on-road performance and sleek styling, the 2017 GLC Coupe features an extensive equipments package. More on that later.
