In 2021, the Jeep Grand Cherokee will be resurrected as a full-sized three-row SUV in the iconic Grand Wagoneer mold. Like the Grand Wagoneer, the new Grand Cherokee focuses on comfort while keeping the Jeep’s off-road versatility, with a variety of engine options and all-wheel-drive drive systems. With 8 and 10-speed automatic transmissions, the V6 and Hemi V8 engines from the previous generation will carry over. Additionally, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV will feature electronically-locking central and rear differentials.
The new Cherokee SUV’s air suspension lifts or drops the body to more than 2.5 inches, from less than an inch. With a bold, upright look that has signs from the original Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee models of the past, the outside is the main attraction. A more upscale interior and higher-quality fabrics are topped by a new 8.4-inch touchscreen and center console.
