Cadillac has unveiled the 2025 OPTIQ, setting a new standard for entry-level luxury electric vehicles. The OPTIQ joins Cadillac’s expanding EV lineup, which includes the LYRIQ, ESCALADE IQ, CELESTIQ, and the upcoming VISTIQ. Positioned as a competitively priced luxury SUV, the OPTIQ promises to uphold Cadillac’s legacy of American luxury while propelling the brand into the future of electric mobility.

A Gateway to Cadillac’s EV Future

“Cadillac has always defined American luxury, and OPTIQ is an example of how our bold, innovative spirit is propelling us into the EV future,” said John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac. The OPTIQ aims to attract new, younger luxury EV customers, continuing the trend Cadillac has seen over the past five years, where it welcomed around 1 million new customers globally and saw a 5% increase in younger buyers in the U.S.

The OPTIQ’s global footprint is impressive, with sales planned for over 10 regions, including Europe, where it recently debuted in Paris. “As part of Cadillac’s all-electric entry into Europe, we are excited to host OPTIQ’s debut in Paris,” noted Jaclyn McQuaid, President and Managing Director of GM Europe.

Performance and Agility

The OPTIQ’s standard dual motor all-wheel drive contributes to an exhilarating and athletic driving experience. Its 6-inch shorter wheelbase compared to the LYRIQ enhances agility, making it a joy to drive. “With near-instantaneous torque, OPTIQ delivers a unique and spirited driving experience,” said John Cockburn, Chief Engineer.

The vehicle’s aerodynamic design, including a vented rear spoiler and diffusers, aids its Cadillac-estimated 300-mile driving range. The Ultium Platform, low rolling resistance tires, and a dual motor propulsion system with an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack further enhance performance, offering an estimated 300 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.
