Chevrolet is back with its annual Holiday Card to America, and this year’s message lands right where it should: on the person who quietly holds every family tradition together. The new short film follows an empty-nester couple making their yearly drive to the family cottage in their classic 1987 Chevrolet Suburban, a trip that sparks a series of flashbacks filled with kids, dogs, and the messy beauty of growing up. It’s nostalgic without trying too hard, and it hits that familiar holiday nerve in a way only Chevy seems to nail.

The 60-second version of the film debuts during the Thanksgiving Day game on FOX and will also roll out on Chevrolet’s YouTube channel. Starting December 1, the brand begins its “Chevy Holiday Magic” tour — a five-city caravan powered by Silverado EVs. Think holiday lights, s’mores, hot cocoa, local choirs, and a whole lot of cheer, all running off the truck’s massive electric battery. The route stretches from San Diego to Detroit with stops in Dallas, Nashville, and Atlanta.

Expect the vintage Suburban from the film on display, a lineup of current Chevy models, and Toys for Tots partnerships at every stop to keep the goodwill flowing.

A sentimental holiday campaign backed by real community action. Chevy knows exactly what it’s doing this season.
