It looks like you can teach an old dog new tricks. Stanford University engineers have taught MARTY, their driverless DeLorean, how to drift through a kilometer-long autocross course similar to the likes of Ken Block. The course, dubbed “MARTYkhana,” has helped improve how autonomous software handles hazardous conditions by providing mathematical insights from the drifting runs.
