Lexus reportedly sold just four examples of its first yacht, the 65-foot LY 650, before ending production. Undeterred, the brand is back with the LY 680, a 67.8-foot evolution that spent two years as a Japan-only offering and opened to international buyers this September.

The stretch adds nearly five feet to the flybridge, making room for a lounge sofa and barbecue, plus 27 inches to the swim platform. Three cabins sleep six below deck, with day capacity for 15. Twin Volvo Penta IPS pod drives deliver 1,600 or 2,000 combined horsepower from a 1,060-gallon fuel tank, which costs roughly five grand to fill at marina prices. Taiwan’s Horizon Group builds each hull. The public debut is set for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 28 through November 1, with pricing reportedly around $5 million.
