It’s fun to dream, isn’t it? For car enthusiasts, that dream usually revolves around a concept vehicle that provides a mere glimpse into the future. For example, the new Audi Q8 Concept that was just unveiled at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS). This plug-in hybrid pairs an electric motor with a 3.0L petrol engine for an output of 443 hp and a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds. Its exterior is sporty, with sharp features like its frameless windows and touch-sensor doors. The driver side has a heads-up display that uses augmented reality to showcase alerts and important information, keeping your eyes on the road. Similar tech is featured throughout the interior, with a huge 12.3-inch display replacing gauges, and other touchscreens for lighting controls, media, climate, etc. The all-wheel-drive production model is expected to launch next year.
