It’s finally happening. Soon you will be able to Catch Them All — Pokémon that is — using your mobile devices. No more lonely nights roleplaying as Ash Ketchum, the Pokémon GO app turns you into a trainer in the real world.
The makers of Ingress, who pioneered AR in a massive-multiplayer online role playing game, has set their sites on Pokémon using your smartphone. The game pairs with the bluetooth Pokémon GO Plus bracelet accessory that will provide users notifications of nearby players, help find Pokémon, and capture, battle, and trade. Best of all, this could all be done during your daily commute to work or to your local coffee shop.
Pokémon GO is set to be released sometime in 2016 for Android and iOS.
