Netflix has officially dropped the teaser trailer for the final season of Stranger Things, and it’s every bit as ominous and epic as fans hoped. Set in the fall of 1987, Hawkins is still reeling from the opening of the Rifts, and the stakes have never been higher.

The trailer teases a unified mission: find and destroy Vecna. But with his whereabouts unknown and the government placing Hawkins under military quarantine, things aren’t exactly going as planned. Eleven is once again in hiding, and the threat looming over the town feels darker and more powerful than anything the group has faced before.
