It’s no secret that visual effects for movies have come a long way since their inception. However, it can be hard to gain a full appreciation without actually checking out its evolution firsthand. But who has the time to sit and watch nearly a hundred movies just for this purpose? The answer: movie nerds. And now, thanks to a specific group of movie nerds, you too.
Just last week, the YouTube channel Burger Fiction posted their latest compilation, Every Best Visual Effects Winner. Ever. (1929-2018 Oscars). And it is exactly that. Over the course of about twelve minutes, you get to witness the advancements made in the industry over the years in about ninety or so clips. There are classic movies we all know and love, movies you’ve never heard of but now really want to see, movies missing that you really thought you’d see show up (*cough* not one Harry Potter *cough*), and movies you’d forgotten about but will definitely be rewatching this weekend.
