Crown Royal XO is the newest addition created by the Canadian whisky brand and it is oh-so-good. XO was crafted by Crown Royal Master Blender Andrew MacKay using their signature blend of 50 whiskies, and then finished in cognac casks from the French Limousin Forest. The result is a smooth tasting premium spirit with hints of spice, vanilla, caramel, and dry fruit.

MacKay’s mission was to pay homage to Crown Royal’s roots by developing a blend that is truly for extraordinary occasions. The original recipe for Crown was first created back in 1939 when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain decided to do a tour of Canada.

“The ultra-premium nature Crown Royal XO and the smoothness of the liquid can be attributed to the handcrafted approach we took while creating the unique blend,” said MacKay. “We’re looking forward to sharing this special blend with adults across the country and encourage them to incorporate it into their celebrations of extraordinary moments and events.”

You can now pickup a 750ml bottle of Crown Royal XO nationwide for $50. Make sure you try it neat and/or on the rocks. Diluting such a delicious whisky would be such a shame.
