For the past two years, the only way to get a bottle of Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt Whiskey was through an airport duty-free shop. That changes now — Jack is rolling the bottle out to retailers nationwide, and it’s the most interesting release the brand has put out since its 2022 limited single malt debut, which was the first time a legacy American distillery entered the category at all.
The whiskey is 100% malted barley, distilled at the Lynchburg distillery, mellowed through sugar maple charcoal, aged four years in new American oak, then finished two more in former Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 90 proof, it’s built around oak, cocoa, dark chocolate-covered nuts, and a sherry finish on the back end.
1-liter bottles are showing up now at $75 suggested, with Total Wine already listing it around $69. Availability is expanding by the week, so if your local shop doesn’t have it yet, check back.
