Rye whiskey is becoming more and more popular these days in the whiskey community. As far as American rye whiskey goes, WhistlePig is the brand to try. I’ve recently had their award winning 100/100 offering, a 100% rye whiskey that’s 100 proof and aged for at least ten years through a double-barrel process. It should also be mentioned that WhistlePig’s 100/100 scored a 96 from Wine Enthusiast, the highest score ever given to a rye.
