Australian adventurer Gene Corbett looked at the camper trailer and decided the wheels were the problem. His MyGlamper packs into a hard composite case that mounts upright on your towbar, so there is nothing to tow and nothing on the roof hurting fuel economy. At camp it folds out onto support legs and inflates with an automatic pump in about six minutes, and each room gets its own air valve, so a puncture takes down one section instead of the whole tent.
The Lite sleeps six and weighs under 70 kg. The Plus stretches to 12 with a kitchen and ensuite, and the Pro adds a hot recirculating shower, composting toilet, a 30-liter water tank, and a 100Ah battery with solar. For scale, Thule’s hitch-mounted Outset runs $4,700 and sleeps three with no amenities, so the MyGlamper Lite costs roughly triple for double the headcount plus a bathroom on the bigger trims.
Two honest caveats before you get excited. Only the Lite physically exists so far; the Plus and Pro are still renders. And this is an Australian preorder with no firm delivery timeline. Founders pricing runs AU$18,990 (about $13,350) for the Lite, capped at 100 units across the range.
