Peak Design just solved the two most annoying things about traveling with a phone: keeping it charged and keeping it propped up. The Kickstand Travel Battery is a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank with a folding kickstand built into its 10.5mm aluminum body, so it snaps onto a MagSafe iPhone or PixelSnap phone and holds it upright in portrait or landscape while it charges, with no separate stand or cable tangle in the bag. It is the first Qi2.3-certified wireless charger, pushing 15W off its own battery and up to 25W when plugged in, which is nearly a full second charge for an iPhone 17. I covered a similar travel charger from Native Union earlier this year, and this one takes the same idea further by building the stand into the battery itself. It is $99.95 in Black and Moon at Peak Design, with availability rolling out through mid-November, backed by the company’s lifetime guarantee.
