This interesting set of lights was created by Jacob De Baan, a designer and art director with a client list that includes the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. Called “Zero Collection” the assortment is comprised of three sets of two lamps, one for the ceiling and one for the floor. The construction for each is of two concave ovals that have been cupped together and secured via hand stitching. As for materials, there are two types to choose from. Zero Lamp Ones are made of vegetable-tanned leather and polyacetal and are available in natural or black varieties. For those looking for a little less animal material the Zero Lamp Twos feature brass and steel bodies with only the stitching made of leather.
Each pendant option is available in two different sizes: 33cm x 16cm (~13in x 6in) and 46cm x 23cm (~18in x 9in). And the floor options is available in one: 24cm x 40cm (~9.5in x 16in). To learn more about the Zero Collection, check it out on Uniqka. The lamps are sold primarily in the EU and UK. However, you can find a list of online distributers here. Prices vary between roughly $300-$500.
