Airbnb is looking to expand their community-driven hospitality company with the release of Pineapple — a quarterly magazine that will take you inside the homes of both hosts and guests around the world. 18,000 copies will be sent out for free to Airbnb’s hosts globally, with a limited number of copies available for sale at specialty bookstores, newsstands, and boutique shops across North America and Europe.
“Travel on Airbnb is about more than sightseeing and consuming, it’s about connections and community,” said CMO Jonathan Mildenhall. “Our new magazine, Pineapple, will combine the emotional and practical sides of traveling by giving a comprehensive guide to neighborhoods and cities, as well as capturing the sense of belonging that comes from a memorable trip.”
In Pineapple’s first issue — distributed this weekend at the Airbnb Open beginning November 21 — the cities featured will be Seoul, London, and San Francisco. Each issue will have experienced Airbnb travelers or hosts as contributors sharing their stories and experiences in categories culture, food, art, and style.
