Finally, it’s that cherished time of year again: tailgating season! Everyone is packing their coolers full of beer, getting those grills ready for some action, and heading off to their favorite stadiums. But as perfect as this American pastime is, AT&T is looking to take it to the next level. To kick off the 2014 College Football season they have combined tailgating with technology in an original experience that is sure to change this fall time activity forever. They are calling the unification #Techgating.
The best part about this movement is everyone can be a part by simply using technology to improve your game day. Whether you’re at home, on the go, or at the game, utilize the latest apps, gadgets, and AT&T’s lightning-fast connections to stay current on all things college football. But it isn’t just about you being up-to-date, it’s also about sharing your school pride and keeping others tuned in to how you’ve used #Techgating to make tailgating that much better. In fact, share your pictures, videos, and #Techgating tips via Twitter and you could win a trip to the 2015 College Football National Championship Game thanks to AT&T.
To help further explore #Techgating’s potential, as well as win game day prizes, AT&T is sending either their Amplified #Techgating Tour Truck or their AT&T Fan Zone Tour Truck to select college games this season.
Both trucks will feature:
- Pregame Paparazzi- to give fans an innovative way to capture and share moments
- Social Heat Map- so fans can support and connect to their teams wherever they are
- Charging Stations- to provide an eco-friendly way to give fans a boost to their electronic devices by harnessing kinetic and solar energy
The AT&T Fan Zone Truck will also have a Fight Song Mash Up, Social T-Shirt Cannon, and U-Verse TV Projection, and the Amplified #Techgating Tour Truck will include a Mobile DJ and Photo Streaming. We at Joe’s Daily are going to try to check out these trucks when they come our way, so stay tuned. In the meantime, be sure to Tweet, follow, and stay connected by using AT&T’s #Techgating hashtag this College Football Season.
