The luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot and the legendary champagne house Veuve Clicquot once again teamed up to create a limited-edition watch to commemorate the return of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Both brands reunited on Saturday, October 2nd, at the Will Rogers State Historic Park. Hublot served as the official timekeeper and scoreboard sponsor as a long-time partner.
The ideal environment for celebrating the cooperation, sport, and style synonymous with the Veuve Clicquot polo classic was created by champagne, horology, and the Hollywood Hills.
In recognition of her six goals for her winning club Veuve Clicquot, Hublot rewarded MVP Argentine polo player Delfina Blaquier with a Racing Grey Diamond Classic Fusion watch.
Hublot has produced its fourth limited edition watch in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot to commemorate the partnership and the perfect polo day in LA. The Big Bang Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic 2021 is fashioned in 44mm and comes in Hublot’s trademark All Black ceramic with two strap choices, in keeping with each Maison’s individual brand codes. The first is a black alligator with the characteristic yellow of Veuve Clicquot, while the second is a yellow alligator with reverse black stitching. The watch has a black luminous display and an engraved Special Edition micro-blasted black ceramic case back with a satin finish.
“Hublot was delighted to again unite with our LVMH sister brand Veuve Clicquot and mark a day like no other in the social calendar, the day and the timepiece has proven well with the wait. This fusion of sports, champagne and fashion is bought to life beautifully in our new limited timepiece and I raise a glass to the talented craftspeople who made this collection possible as well as our friends at Veuve Clicquot who make this winning partnership possible.”
– Jean-Francois Sberro, President, Hublot of America
The limited-edition watch retails for $18,200 with only 30 pieces available for purchase exclusively at the Hublot Boutique in Los Angeles and on Hublot.com/us.
