McLaren Golf is officially here, and the brand’s first two irons land with the kind of engineering arrogance you’d expect from a company that builds supercars and Formula 1 cars for a living. The Series 1 is a modern Tour blade developed alongside Justin Rose, with proprietary metal blends, a tungsten back-weight, and McLaren’s honeycomb-pattern Structural Mesh borrowed from its supercar architecture. It’s aimed squarely at the shot-shaper who wants a compact muscle-back profile without giving up all forgiveness.
The Series 3 is the players-distance counterpart, built around a Metal Injection Molded frame with a carbon fiber bonnet along the back for vibration control and a heel-cut sole designed to keep clubhead speed through the turf. Both rely on MIM manufacturing, a process rarely used at scale in golf because of how complex and expensive it is, which is exactly why McLaren leaned into it. Each iron runs $375 per club in stock configuration, and they hit select custom fitting retailers across North America, Europe, and South Korea on April 30, with online sales live at mclarengolf.com.
