Casio CMK-100: A Titanium Automatic Field Watch From $320

Casio's first mainline automatic is a titanium field watch: the Casio CMK-100 offers sapphire, 100m water resistance, and a $320 starting price.

Casio just did something it has never done before: a mainline automatic watch. The CMK-100 is a titanium field watch with a Japanese automatic movement, a sapphire crystal, and 100 meters of water resistance, starting at $320.

The case measures 38mm across, 11.4mm thick, and 44.7mm lug to lug, so it wears compact. Casio coats the titanium in titanium carbide for abrasion resistance, and the screw-lock crown and case back back up the 100-meter rating. Inside is a Japanese automatic with manual winding, hacking seconds, 21 jewels, and a roughly 42-hour power reserve.

There are five versions. The base CMK100TC-1A pairs a black dial with a nylon strap at $320. Grey nylon and black leather versions run $350, a brown leather version with a rose gold bezel runs $375, and the titanium bracelet version tops the range at $440. The series lands in November at select retailers and Casio’s own stores.

For a first automatic from the brand that built its name on digital toughness, the CMK-100 is a confident move: real materials, honest specs, and a price that undercuts most titanium automatics by hundreds.
