Christopher Ward is continuing their tradition of creating unique watches in collaboration with TMB Art Metal. Their latest, the C9 P2725 TM-B watch celebrates the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Flight Lieutenant Ray Holmes’ heroic actions on Battle of Britain Day in 1940. Its name comes from the P2725 Hawker Hurricane, the airplane Holmes flew into a Luftwaffe bomber before it could reach its target, Buckingham Palace.

The C9 P2725 TM-B design was inspired by the Hurricane’s dashboard–the matte black dial has large, highly legible numerals and indexes that alternate between white and tan SuperLuminova. The 43mm DLC stainless steel case holds a Swiss-made Valgranges A07.161 movement, used for its power reserve function that here evokes the aircraft’s altimeter. Finally, the back has a piece of aluminum salvaged from the P2725’s engine and a canvas strap similar to the plane’s fabric fuselage. (a vintage oak leather strap comes included as well)

This unique collaborative watch is limited to just 100 pieces. Learn more on Christopher Ward.
