HAVEN took Timberland’s 1983 Field Boot somewhere quieter. The Vancouver brand’s limited-edition Field Boot GTX wraps the classic hiker in a single shade of hairy suede with nubuck, a calf leather collar, and almost no visible branding, a deliberate contrast to the loud color-blocking on most Field Boot retros. The inspiration is Black Tusk, the dark volcanic spire in British Columbia’s Coast Mountains, and HAVEN shot the campaign on the peak itself.
Under the muted upper, the build is serious winter gear: a GORE-TEX lining, PrimaLoft insulation, a reinforced toe cap, and Vibram soles, with metal eyelets and cobranded details on the tongue and insole. The result is a boot meant to work as well on a city sidewalk as on a trail, which is exactly the brief HAVEN set for it. The Field Boot GTX goes on sale Friday, October 30 at 10am PT through HAVEN and Timberland, online and in stores, at $230.
