MWC builds this GMT on a matte black PVD finish that’s actually specified in military contracts, the kind used by special forces and anti-terrorist units where a shiny watch case is a liability. The coating is set into the steel rather than painted on, which is why it holds up under the wear that flakes cheaper finishes.
The case runs 40mm (42mm over the crown), rated to 660 feet of water resistance, with a sapphire crystal that resists cracking better than mineral glass and a 24-hour GMT hand for a second time zone. It ships on a 20mm NATO strap with drilled lugs, powered by a Ronda 515.24 quartz movement.
