An Electrifying New Addition to the Freelancer Collection

Raymond Weil, the renowned Swiss watchmaker, has unveiled an exciting new limited edition timepiece that pays tribute to the magical world of live music. Meet the vibrant new Freelancer Pop Bi-Compax Chronograph Limited Edition, a watch that truly embodies the essence of joy and togetherness found in shared musical experiences.

Limited to only 400 pieces worldwide, this new chronograph model infuses the popular Freelancer collection with an energetic burst of color. With hints of turquoise adorning the dial, bezel and oscillating weight, the Freelancer Pop Bi-Compax Chronograph makes a bold style statement on the wrist.

Celebrating the Magic of Live Music Performances

According to Raymond Weil CEO Elie Bernheim, “This limited edition is an ode to live music. It celebrates the joy of sharing a musical moment together.”

The turquoise accents, inspired by the creative energy of music, offer a playful pop of color within the brand’s lineup of Freelancer chronographs. Bernheim notes, “With hints of vibrant colour on the dial, the design offers an added creative energy within our collection of freelancer chronographs.”

Raymond Weil collaborated with saxophonist Sandy Sax and pianist Victor Le Douarec

To showcase the shared passions of horology and music, Raymond Weil collaborated with saxophonist Sandy Sax and pianist Victor Le Douarec to create an original song in tandem with the watch’s release. Their joyful performance in the song’s music video highlights the harmonious relationship between music and timekeeping.

Lightweight Titanium Case and Bracelet

This special edition watch comes housed in a 43.5mm titanium case, which includes a black ceramic tachymeter bezel. The lightweight titanium construction ensures comfort both on stage for musicians and in the audience. As Bernheim describes, “The full titanium case and bracelet provide lightweight comfortability both on stage and in the audience.”

The screwed down fluted crown with RW logo provides 100m of water resistance. And through the exhibition caseback, you can observe the self-winding RW5030 chronograph movement powering the watch.

Legible Black Gradient Dial with Pops of Color

The black gradient dial offers the perfect canvas for the turquoise chronograph counters and pulsometer scale, creating an eye-catching contrast. The symmetrical layout includes a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock.

The generously sized hour and minute hands, enhanced with white Super-Luminova, ensure excellent readability along with the nickel-plated indexes. At the 6 o’clock position, a date window provides balance to the overall dial design.

High-Precision Chronograph Performance

As expected from Raymond Weil, the Freelancer Pop delivers precise chronograph performance. The self-winding RW5030 movement contains 27 jewels and offers 56 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

The chronograph function allows you to start, stop, and reset the central chronograph hand using the pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock. The 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock provides an intuitive chronograph display. And for timing heart rates, the pulsometer scale around the dial comes in handy.

An Ideal Watch for Music Lovers

With its vibrant accents and musical inspiration, the new Freelancer Pop Bi-Compax Chronograph Limited Edition will appeal to watch enthusiasts and music lovers alike. As a celebration of the magic found in live music performances and the joy of togetherness, this watch encapsulates Raymond Weil’s artistic spirit.

If you appreciate high-precision chronographs and the energizing experience of live music, the Freelancer Pop is a must-have timepiece. But don’t wait too long, as only 400 numbered pieces will be produced.
