Some partnerships deserve more than a logo swap. TAG Heuer has been the official timekeeper of Oracle Red Bull Racing for a full decade, and to mark the anniversary the two brands finally did the obvious thing: they put the team’s colors on the watch that carries the Formula 1 name.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing is a 38mm solar-powered F1 in the team’s blue, with a red minute track and a yellow seconds hand. It costs $2,250 with early online access from October 20, and it is not a limited edition.

I have not had this one on the wrist yet, so call this a first look, not a review. But on paper it might be the best-looking Solargraph since the 2025 revival.
Why This One Works
The Solargraph already fixed what was wrong with the old F1 formula. The revived collection kept the faithful dial, bezel and case shape of the 1986 original while ditching the cheap plastic construction. This one sits at the elevated end of the range: full stainless steel case and three-link bracelet in sandblasted finish, with hooded lugs from the original collection creating an integrated bracelet effect.

The dial earns the Red Bull name. A radiant blue sunray-brushed base carries a red flange with the minute track, black-lacquered applied markers, and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova that glow green at night. Yellow appears exactly once, on the central seconds hand, and that restraint keeps it from looking like a novelty piece. Shield-shaped markers sit at six, nine and twelve, with a date window at three.
The TH-Polylight bezel matches the blue dial with a white 60-minute count-up track, echoing the original scalloped design without the toy-like performance. TAG Heuer has been on a roll with racing-inspired color stories, and this might be the most natural one yet.
The Caseback Tells the Rest
Flip it over and the collaboration gets its due. The screw-down steel caseback is etched with the Oracle Red Bull Racing logo above the TAG Heuer shield, over a checkered flag motif. It is the only explicit team branding on the watch, which keeps the front clean enough to wear anywhere.
Underneath is the TAG Heuer Calibre TH50-00, a solar quartz movement. The numbers are strong: 40 hours of light gets a full charge, good for 10 months in the dark. One minute of direct sunlight powers a full day, and the movement restarts after ten seconds of light. The rechargeable accumulator is rated for up to 15 years, so no battery swaps. Water resistance is 100 meters, fine for daily wear and actual swimming.
TAG Heuer knows team editions. The Connected Calibre E4 Red Bull Racing edition played it louder with custom watch faces. This one goes the opposite direction: the racing lives in the colors and the caseback, and the watch stays timeless.
A Decade of Not Cracking Under Pressure
Ten years is a serious run in modern F1 partnerships. TAG Heuer joined Red Bull Racing in 2016, back when the team ran TAG Heuer-badged power units, and stayed through the championship years. The Formula 1 collection itself debuted in 1986 as the brand’s affordable entry for a younger audience. The 2025 Solargraph revival brought it into the present with solar power and proper steel, and over a dozen colorways have followed.

This edition lands at $2,250, the top of the Solargraph range but well under TAG Heuer’s mechanical chronographs. The brand has made collaborations feel special before, like the Carrera x fragment limited edition, but this one is not numbered or limited. It is built to be worn, not vaulted.
The Verdict
I am a sucker for a watch that wears its team colors without turning into a billboard. Blue, red and yellow are loud on paper, but here they are disciplined: blue everywhere, red on the track, yellow on one hand. Solar power means you never think about batteries, the steel means you never baby it, and the caseback gives you the story when someone asks.
