I like dive watches that earn their specs instead of just decorating with them, and the Timex Deepwater Meridian 300 Titanium HEV Automatic reads that way on paper.
Timex built the 44mm case from beadblasted grade 5 titanium, rated it to 300 meters, and added an automatic helium escape valve at 10 o’clock, a ceramic-inlay unidirectional bezel, sapphire crystal, and a screw-down crown. Inside runs a Miyota 8215 automatic with about 42 hours of reserve, and the black dial, bezel, hands, and markers all carry Nemoto LumiNova SG2200, so the whole face glows after dark. It rides on a perforated HNBR rubber strap built for water, heat, and UV, with quick-release bars for fast swaps. At $999, it lands at less than half the price of Timex’s own $2,250 titanium chronograph. It’s available now on Timex’s site.
