With the Echo Show, Amazon was one of the first companies to design a smart display. With the Echo Show 15, it’s now widening the line and moving from the counter to the wall. The photo frame-inspired design has a 15.6″ Full HD display and a 5-megapixel camera for facial recognition and video calls, as the name suggests. Widgets driven by Alexa may display anything from the weather to calendar events to recipes and reminders, and they can vary what’s displayed depending on who’s using them. It can stream video and music from onboard apps, and it’s also ideal for displaying images from Amazon or Facebook. This year’s release is scheduled for later this year.
