Nothing’s budget brand CMF just made its first speaker, and of course it looks like a milk carton.
The CMF Speaker S and Speaker M launched this week, and the design is the whole story. Both borrow the sharp geometry of a gable-top carton. The smaller Speaker S gets an angled top with a built-in carabiner hook, while the Speaker M stretches the carton upward and adds a proper carry handle. One chunky physical knob handles playback, volume, track skipping and Ultra Bass.

The specs punch past the prices. The $59 Speaker S pairs a 45mm full-range driver with dual passive radiators for 10W of output. The $109 Speaker M steps up to a 70mm woofer and 16mm tweeter for 35W. Both claim 18 hours of playback, carry an IP68 dust and water rating, and run Bluetooth 6.0 with USB-C lossless audio and NFC tap-to-pair. Pair two matching units for true stereo, or daisy-chain speakers over Auracast when the yard needs more coverage.
The clever part: the front panels and knobs pop off so you can mix and match colors, and CMF standardized the designs so you can 3D print your own at home.
Both come in White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise and are on sale now. They join a crowded shelf of portable Bluetooth speakers, and my Bose SoundLink Revolve 2 review still sets the bar in my house, but nothing else on the shelf looks like this.
