Leica’s Sofort 2 is a hybrid instant camera built on Fujifilm’s Instax Mini platform. A 4.9MP CMOS sensor and a 28mm equivalent f/2 lens handle the digital side, and the 3-inch LCD on the back lets you decide which frames actually deserve film before you pull the print lever. Bluetooth pairs it to a companion app, so it doubles as a pocket printer for photos already sitting on your phone, which might be the better reason to own one. Internal memory holds about 45 shots, there’s a microSD slot for more, and a charge is good for roughly 100 prints.
Worth knowing before you commit: the Sofort 2 shares its platform and most of its control layout with the Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo, which sells for about $199. The extra money buys Leica’s design work and the red dot on the front. Whether that math works is a personal call. It’s $398 at Uncrate Supply, currently a pre-order with no returns.
