It was only a matter of time before Sega jumped into the retro console market with their own mini recreation of their most successful console. The Sega Genesis Mini aims to bring back your love of 16-bit graphics with a plug-and-play return of some of your favorite Sega games, like Sonic the Hedgehog. Other than my excitement for the mini console, there’s little known about the Sega Genesis Mini. What we do know is that it’s built using technology from AtGames, will serve up all sorts of Sonic goodness, have a rewind feature like the previous Flashback model, and may, just may feature a cartridge slot. Really hoping for the latter!
Expect to see the Sega Genesis Mini become available later this year. Most likely around the holidays.
Say it with me, “SEG-AAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
