Back in 2012, a couple of friends started modding game systems and formed Rose Colored Gaming. Their latest work is the SNES Reimagined, where they take the classic Nintendo system and give it a clear makeover. Each piece was hand-assembled and built out of laser cut and etched acrylic components that have been drilled, bent, bonded, threaded, & assembled using all new anodized aluminum hardware. Many of the internal components, though still original pieces, have been etched to bring out features that were not originally meant to be seen.
The SNES Reimagined is still in production, but if you’re interested in buying one I would keep a close eye out for its release date. Units will only be available in a very limited quantity, with each unit treated to a unique serial number.
