Microsoft shrunk the Xbox controller down to pocket size. The new Xbox Nano Controller is a little over five inches long and weighs just 3.5 ounces, lighter and shorter than most modern smartphones, yet it keeps all 18 standard gameplay inputs. Dual analog sticks, a D-pad, ABXY buttons, shoulder buttons, and triggers are all there. A programmable Action Button handles screenshots and capture shortcuts. It connects over Xbox Wireless to Series X, Series S, and Xbox One. Bluetooth covers Windows PCs, iOS, Android, and some smart TVs. A built-in rechargeable battery keeps it going, though the USB-C cable to charge it is sold separately. Xbox built it for younger players and smaller hands, and for anyone who wants a second pad for the couch or a controller that rides along in a bag. It makes four-player local co-op cheaper to set up, and it slips into a pocket when the game is done. The Xbox Nano Controller is available now from Microsoft for $49.99.
