If you’re thinking about sailing with Celestyal Cruises—specifically on the Celestyal Journey—you might be wondering what embarkation day is like. I just did it. We kicked off our Heavenly Adriatic itinerary out of Athens, Greece, and I documented the whole experience.
We left our hotel in the morning and headed to the Piraeus Cruise Terminal. From the moment we arrived, it only took about 45 minutes to get through check-in, board the ship, and start exploring. That includes dropping off luggage, security, check-in—everything. It was fast, organized, and overall way easier than some other embarkations I’ve done over the years.
