A Big Day For a Small Island
October 20th will be a big day for small island of Anguilla, 16 miles long and three miles wide. Anguilla’s name means “eel” in many languages and was named in reference to the shape of the island. It is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, lying east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and is six miles directly north of Saint Martin.
It is here that the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla will launch. The property, once the Viceroy Anguilla Resort, will re-open as the Four Seasons, with villas, townhomes, residences and suites.
The resort will feature 181 accommodations including dedicated resort guest rooms, whole-ownership beachfront private residences, ranging from one-bedroom deluxe studios to five-bedroom beachfront villas, in addition to an 8100 square foot spa, fine and beachfront dining, and wide range of pool and watersport activities.
Here is a brief video helps define the destination and this new resort.

The private residences are one, two or three bedrooms, including the Penthouse, and range between 1,407 and 3,679 square feet. Each is designed with a kitchen, living and dining areas, and one or more amply furnished sun decks.
The 3679 square foot three-bedroom Penthouse features a custom-designed four-poster king bed in both the master and second bedroom, with two queen-sized beds in the third bedroom. It also has a full gourmet kitchen, dining room, living room, washer, dryer and powder room. There are ocean views from the penthouse’s terrace, where there is a large private pool and outdoor kitchen. Bathrooms in the three-bedroom Penthouse feature outdoor showers.
The 35 square-mile island of Anguilla is one of the only islands in the British West Indies to maintain an embargo on cruise ships, casinos and high rise hotels, preserving the natural beauty, culture and tranquility of the island. Framed by endless white sand beaches, serene bays and rugged coral coastline, the Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Anguilla is located along the island’s northwestern shore, and will offer 3,200 feet of pristine beachfront and unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea. Let’s GO!
