You know Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Triple D for short), but were you aware that Fieri is also dominating food at sea? 15 cruise ships to be exact.
Guy’s Burger Joint
Carnival Cruise Line started their relationship with Guy Fieri back in 2011 when they started to feature Guy’s signature burger creations fleet-wide. Guy’s Burger Joint offers fresh made to order burgers and fresh cut fries to cruisers all over the world, and at no additional cost.
Fact: Approximately 1,000 burgers are served per ship, per day.
Menu fun facts
The Guy’s Burger Joint menu consists of five burgers, including the Plain Jane, a basic cheeseburger; the Ringer, a cheeseburger with an onion ring; the Straight Up, which includes special sauce, lettuce and tomato; the Piggy Patty, featuring a beef burger and a second patty made entirely of bacon; and Chillius Maximus, a burger with the works — lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and chili. All are served on buttered buns. In case you need more, there’s a toppings station near by with bacon, onions, mushrooms, pickles, jalapeños, and more!
For those looking for a veggie burger (no judgement), those are available upon request. So just ask!
Guy’s Burger Joint off-menu burger
Departing from Texas? Ask for the special off-menu burger. Aptly named the Big Tex Burger, this behemoth includes two beef patties – each topped with cheese sauce and a slice of American cheese – onions, lettuce, pickles, tomato, Donkey Sauce, roasted green chili salsa, melted butter with roasted garlic, and tortilla strips.

Guy’s Pig & Anchor:
When you think about having some good BBQ, you probably aren’t thinking about having it on a cruise ship. At least that’s what I thought, until I had Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse on board the Carnival Vista. This open air BBQ joint is no joke either. Fieri wouldn’t give Carnival the green light until they were able to meet his BBQ smoking standards. Not to mention passing all the safety standards required to operate on a cruise vessel.
The Barbecue Hall of Famer is bringin’ some big time meats like Championship Pork Butt, Smoked Round of Beef, Smoked Andouille Sausage and his famous Blue Ribbon Chicken as well as rockin’ sides like Mac Daddy Mac n Cheese, Old Skool Potato Salad and Collard Greens.
I highly recommend you come early for this, as in, right before they open. The line can get extremely long, because it’s really that worth it. A little cheat to make your wait in line not-so-bad is to have someone go to the Redfrog Pub and pick up a few beers to enjoy while waiting for your BBQ. It’s just next door!
Menu fun facts
Guy’s Pig & Anchor serves approximately 200 pounds of pork butt at each BBQ venue per day. That’s a whole lot of pork, especially since the restaurant stays open for only a few hours during sea days.
