If there are two things I’m beyond ready for, it’s getting back on a cruise ship and reviewing an itinerary I haven’t experienced yet. Enter Atlas Ocean Voyages‘ inaugural 2021 summer season.
The World Navigator, the luxury cruise brand’s first constructed expedition ship, is set to take its guests to Athens (Piraeus), Greece, and Cairo (Alexandria), Egypt, starting August 4, 2021. Another first for the brand, World Navigator will be the cruise industry’s first and only cruise ship to bring travelers to Egypt. This is huge and something I’ve hoped for from one of my favorite cruise lines to do since I began reviewing ships and their itineraries. And though I haven’t experienced an Atlas Ocean Voyages cruise yet, I can only imagine it will be a special experience.
The five new itineraries will range from seven to 12 nights, feature UNESCO World Heritage Sites at nearly all of the 14 unique ports of call, as well as include multiple nights in either Cairo or Mykonos, Greece. A very special experience for cruisegoers looking to experience the destination’s nightlife.
Atlas Ocean Voyages’ Maiden Voyage – August 2021
The World Navigator will set sail on its maiden voyage on August 4, 2021, where guests will be treated to a celebration dinner and party on the Giza Plateau overlooking the iconic Pyramids, which will be illuminated into the evening exclusively for World Navigator guests. Not a bad way to kick off what I imagine to be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of vacation.
Along the journey, World Navigator guests will experience Atlas’ All-Inclusive All the Way treatment, including complimentary round-trip air travel, choice of a shore excursion at each port, prepaid gratuities, shipboard gourmet dining, premium beverages, and much more.
“The safety and health of our guests and staff is our top priority. While we would have liked to carry out our original Holy Land itineraries this summer, the region’s geopolitics does not make it prudent. However, we created World Navigator’s Egypt and Greek Isles voyages to offer travelers a new, unique and superior choice of exclusive and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, in true luxe-adventure style.”
– Alberto Aliberti, President of Atlas Ocean Voyages
Other notable complementary inclusions that Atlas offers are emergency medical evacuation insurance, premium wine and spirits, international beers and coffees, Wi-Fi, L’OCCITANE bath amenities, and regionally inspired gourmet dining.
