Jet-lagged and weary I was graciously welcomed by the front desk staff late Thursday evening. While handing over my I.D. I couldn’t help but notice a large sign reading “Ask me why it’s good not to be home.” Being inquisitive by nature I proceeded to ask without hesitation. The gentlemen behind the counter pulled out a stack of cards and briefly gave me a description of each complimentary gift. Yup, you read that right, FREE.
Available #GetCarded Options
- Did I have a “Sweet Tooth?” After all, diets don’t count when you’re away from home right?
- Did I want to stay in for an intimate “Game Night” after sightseeing all day?
- Should I take advantage and spoil myself to a “Good Hair Day?”
- Or what about the “Do Not Disturb” card? I can’t even remember the last time I slept in until noon.
- Let’s not forget the “Meeting Crusher” card. I was traveling on business after all.
The choice was mine to make. The thrill of being away from home was beginning to kick in. I had a king sized bed all to myself, no dishes to attend to, and no emails to check.
I caved in and went with the “Game Night” card. A few minutes after posting a picture of my card onto Instagram with hashtags #GetCarded, #AtHyattRegency, and #Ad I received a personal DM from Hyatt Regency. I proceeded to answer a few questions with their staff, before exploring what Atlanta had to offer.
After a long day of sightseeing (Martin Luther King, Jr’s birth home and the Georgia Aquarium) I quickly made haste to the comfort of my room. It was then I spotted a purple sized shoebox sitting on top of my desk with a label reading Game Night. From that moment I knew I was in for a treat. I mean, what other hotel leaves gifts for their guests, just because?
