Royal Caribbean can’t wait to show off its new ship. The line just moved up the debut of Hero of the Seas, adding two sailings ahead of the original August 11, 2027 inaugural. The August 1 seven-nighter is now the first voyage with paying passengers: Perfect Day at CocoCay plus Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel, sailing out of Miami. An August 8 three-night CocoCay getaway follows right behind it.
This is the third Icon-class ship in a row to launch early, after Star and Legend of the Seas, which tells you something about the pace Royal Caribbean is building these at. The 5,654-guest ship arrives with nine pools, a New Orleans-themed supper club, the first funnel raft slide at sea, and a three-story Ultimate Family Treehouse suite that sleeps 12.
Already booked on the August 11 inaugural? You can switch to an earlier sailing with change fees waived through October 14, though your fare gets repriced at prevailing rates.
