If you didn’t read this as a child, you may want to. As far as I’m concerned, it was one of the greatest Sci-Fi adventure stories ever written. And, the movie looks like it’s going to deliver. The basic story is, the future humans have a tough time with aliens, so they need to recruit some new talent, and the newest talent of them all happens to be children. One in particular is Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield). Then of course you’ve got to have your authority figure, Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford), and sprinkle in some Major Gwen Anderson (Viola Davis) and Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley) and you got yourself a movie! My enthusiasm may be totally biased and based in nostalgia, but hey, watch the trailer and tell me you’re not excited. Scheduled release is November 1st.
